Is it OK to go shopping in Beijing city with a 72 hours transit visa?

I come from Sweden and are going to stay in Beijing for about 16 hours, Before leaving to New Zeeland. Is it alowed to go shopping in the Town during this time and do I then have to pay some tax when comming back to the Airport with some silk and/or cloths? // Ingrid from Sweden
