Visa needed? MNL - HKG - CAN - MNL

Hi! I'm a Philippine Passport Holder, I'll be flying from Manila, Philippines to Hongkong and planning to take train going to Guangzhou to catch my flight back to Manila at Baiyun Airport, will I need a Visa to enter China from Hongkong? If yes, how and where will I do that?

If your stay in Guangzhou is less then 24 hours, you can apply a Temporary Entry Permit after your arrival.

Thank you for your kind response! So, I'll be buying train ticket in this site Hong Kong (Kowloon) to Guangzhou East and get my temporary entry permit at the Guangzhou East Railway then I can explore the place while waiting for my flight at Baiyun Airport. Is that right?
I really appreciate your help! :)

Hi, if possible it would be safer if you apply a visa in advance. I heard that if you enter via rail some times may fail to get that permit. If you go by flight, it should be ok.
