As for silk sarees, you may go to the Canaan Export Clothing Wholesale Market. Take subway line 2, get off at Sanyuanli Station, and leave from Exit A1. Walk south for about 766 yards (700 meters), and you will see it.
You can find a variety of traditional Chinese Cheongsam (chi-pao or qipao) on the Jiangnan Street North. You may take subway line 2, get off at Shiergong Station, and leave from Exit A. :)2
