About:China Transit Visa

Is Visa required to change Airports in Shanghai, between Pudong Airport to Hongqiao Airport?

Hi,
I am Indian citizen traveling from Japan to Kolkata (India) via Shanghai and Kunming. (all within 18 hrs)
From Tokyo, my flight goes to Pudong Shanghai, where I need to change airport and go to Hongqiao airport by Bus/Train. Then flight goes to Kunming and finally to Kolkata(India).

Do I need transit entry permit for changing airport in Shanghai, and for Kunming?
Also, is free airport transfer Buses/Trains available for Shanghai airports?

Kumar, since your total layover time in mainalnd China is not more than 24 hours, you can make use of the 24-hour free transit policy. Therefore, the entry permit is not required. You should apply for a temporary stay permit at Pudong Airport to enable yourself to change flights between different airports.
There is no free shuttle bus/train between the two airports in Shanghai. You can take the Airport Bus No. 1 from Pudong Airport to Hongqiao Airport. The fare is CNY 30 and it takes about one hour and 20 mimutes.
