About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Free visa 72 hours

Does the free transit period starts follwing day at 0:00 or arraival/depature times of flight, because i want to book flight from london and enter beijing at 1.10pm on 9 april and leave 2.10pm on 12 april to thailand is this ok because this works out 73 hrs but as some website say that the period doesnt start until following day, can anyone help me with this

Well, Andrew. In a lot of cities, the free stay period doesn't start until 00:00 of the following day, while in Beijing, it starts from the moment you have finished all necessary formalities at the airport. Considering that your layover time is only a little bit more than 72 hours, I think it's possible to use the 72hr free transit policy, but you need to confirm this with Beijing Immigration.
