Putian to Meizhou Island, Southern Shaolin Temple and Dongyan Mountain

1. To Meizhou Island, you can take a taxi to go to PTBus Station. Then take a coach to Wenjia Dock first. Then take a direct boat to arrive at the island.

2. To Southern Shaolin Temple, where exactly do you start from in PT? Take the train station as an example, take bus no.201 to Xitianwei and then transfer to direct coach to Southern Shaolin Temple.

3. To Dongyan Mountain, from train station, take bus no. 23 to get to City Health Bureau. After that, walk northeast around 120 yards to find the scenic area.

4. Actually, taking a taxi is not an economical way for you. You are suggested to take the public transportation.

a) Meizhou Island : The coach from bus station to Wenjia Dock is a direct bus? How long is the journey to reach the island from PT (I'm staying at Middle Licheng Avenue).

b) Southern Shaolin Temple: I will start from Middle Licheng Avenue. If take Bus No. 201 to Xitianwei, any special coach that I need to be aware that will take me direct to the temple? How long is the journey?

c) Dongyan Mountain: How long is the journey

d) Would you be able to recommend how my schedule should be like so that I can enjoy the visits and not so rush? Any other attractions around PT or Fuzhou or Xiamen that I can conveniently reach?

For all those places, will the public transports be conveniently available if I want to return from those attractions back to PT?

1. Yes, it is a direct journey. It takes 40min to Wenjia Dock and the bus fare is CNY10/person. the regular ferry to Meizhou Island takes around 15min, and the speed boat takes only 7min.
2. Well, from where you are, find the bus stop of bus no. 202. Take that to Qinhou Village. Then the Southern Shaolin Temple is around 9mi away. It is best to take a taxi or private car to arrive at a cost of around CNY20-30.
3. From your location, walk to Shihi Lukou to take bus no. 28 and get off at Middle Section of Dongyuan Road. Then walk 3-5min to North Shengli Road to find Dongyanshan Park. The bus journey takes at most 20min.
4. If you wanna have a one-day trip, the above attractions are enough and the transport methods also suit the return trip. If you prefer to explore more, I'd recommend the Gulangyu Island, and Southern Putuo Mountain to you. They are easily accessible.
