Visiting Yuanyang rice terraces after Shanghai

What is the quickest way to travel from Shanghai to Xinjie (or other village in the terraces) to spend a couple nights there?

You can take a plane to Kunming first, and then take a bus from South Bus Station to Xinjie directly. There are three buses available at 10:20, 12:30 and 18:30. The bus fare is CNY140, and the duration is about 6 hours.
