About:China Visa on Arrival

Visa to leave port for sightseeing

We are travelling to Sanya by cruise boat arriving at 1400 and leaving at 2200 on the same day. I believe we are covered by the 24 hour direct transit pass, however what do we need to go ashore for sightseeing. I hold an Australian passport, My wife a Thai passport.

If you want to go ashore, you need to apply for a temporary stay permit at the port.
