About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I'm holding a F type for multiple entries with max 6 months stay.

Is that a visa my spouse can apply a F dependent type? If so, what are the document he needs to prepare for application?

There is no such a dependent type for F. If she wants to come with you, then she should apply for a tourist type instead. Usually, she can get one with duration of stay of one month. She can do the extension to acquire another month. After her extension expires, she needs to leave mainland to apply for another.
