About:Taipei Transportation

I would like to get from Kaohsiung to Hualien.

Which train should i take. is there a night train.
How much does it cost?

There are several trains from Kaohsiung Railway Station. The schedules are 07:10, 08:40, 10:40, 11:03, 11:23, 12:20, 14:12, 14:15, 16:25 and 18:12. The ticket fare is NT$515 to NT$1219.

3 Do you know of any accommodation in kaoshiung that is nearest to this train station?
4 Do I need to purchase the train tickets in advance and online or can i purchase it at the station.

1. Different trains take different time. Some of them take 4 to 5 hours, while some take around 7 to 8 hours.
2. Tzu-Chiang and Chu-Kuang Express operate the train.
3. About the accommodation, you can stay at Shihzuwan Hotel - Kaohsiung Station. The price is around CNY 400 per night in usual time. It provides clean environment and warm service. You can go and see. It's located at No.241, Jianguo 2nd Rd., Sanmin Dist., Kaohsiung City 807. Hope you like.
4. You don't need to purchase the train tickets in advance. Generally speaking, it will be enough tickets for you to choose. Just buy them when you arriving at the train station.
