About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

Only had a U.S. passport for 2 months...can I visit hong kong without a problem?

My husband and I (U.S. Citizens) have a long layover scheduled in HK for 1 day. We will only have had our U.S. passports for a month or more. I had read that one of the requirements to enter HK is to hold a U.S passport for 6 Months. Is that mandatory?

Julie, according to what I know, your passport should be valid for at least one month by the time you leave HK, so I think you can enter without problems. However, I advise you to contact the HK Immigration Department and double check whether what I say is correct.
