About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I'm traveling to Hong Kong in Nov, I'd like to make a short trip to Shanghai.

I'd like to make a short trip to Shanghai (less than 72 hours) while I'm there. It will be a separate ticket HKG > SHA/SHA > HKG, does this qualify for the 72 hours free transit or I'll need a tourist visa? Thanks.

Sorry, Eva, this route does not meet the requirements of 72-hour free transit policy. If you want to use it, you can fly from your country to Shanghai first and then fly to HK.
