resident permit expiry

hi

my resident permit was for one year and expiring on 31 dec 2015.
can i overstay in china for 10 days after that before leaving?

Khan, you had better not overstay. This may affect your future entry to PRC. If you need to stay for 10 days more after your residence permit expires, you can apply for a 10-day L type within mainland before the expiry date of your residence permit.
