Sara, I heard that there wasn' a quarantine area in Guangzhou Baiyun Airport. Therefore, pets are just required to be quarantined at home. According to some people, you can write down a valid address in Guangzhou for the purpose of lsolation at home. Then you can take your dog to Hangzhou. However, I still suggest you contact the airport to confirm this. 86-20-36066999.

Hi Sara,

I'm writing this because I was scouring the internet for information Guangzhou quarantine in the months before I arrived in China with my husband and two cats in February this year (2018). We did not hire a pet relocation company (which wanted anywhere from $3k-5k for their trouble) and did all the research ourselves. It was really stressful beforehand, but all our hard work paid off and we live in Shenzhen now with our two happy, healthy cats. I wrote an account of it, which you can check out here:

I really hope this helps anyone out there who is looking for this information.
