About:Great Wall Travel - 8 Key Concerns

Planning to go to Mutianyu or badaling. Travel via bus in winter?

my memory is hazy but i kind of recall that regular commuter buses are limited during winter months and so are the cable cars. Please advise. Teavel in jan14 2016

Miss, cable cars might be closed due to weather conditions. However, no.877 bus or S2 train to Badaling and no.916 bus are operated all year round. If you plan to visit Mutianyu, then you should take no.916 bus and get off at Huairou North Street. From there, you can hire a minivan to the wall. It costs around CNY 40 to 50.
