About:Ancient Chinese Marriage Custom

Is giving soap as a wedding favor a sign of bad luck to your guests and/ or a sign of "remarrying"?

That marriage will fail?

Usually, the groom and bride send small boxes of candies to their guests. But some young Chinese people start to gve soaps to their guests. They are different from what we use. They look much more beautiful and packed very well. There is no special meaning, just small gifts to thank the guests for attending their weddings.
