As a tourist, is it economical to apply for a transportation smart card with deposit of 300CNY, just to rent the bicycle to cycle around Xihu?If we do not have that Card, what would be the rental fee of the bicycle?Thank you.

If you want to use the public bikes, you need to apply for a transportation card first. It is kinda of complicated.Apart from that, there are also bike rental services operated by Yiyoutang. Around West Lake area, there are about 30 rental and refund sites. The rental fee is CNY10 per hour and you need to pay CNY300 for refundable deposit fee. After you return the bike, you will get a refund back.
