I really want to go teach english in PRC, but I don't want to leave my husband behind. What are the procedures for him to also get a visa?

Lara, if he just accompanies you and doesn't work in PRC, he should get an S1 type. A copy of your passport and residence permit as well as your marriage book and invitation letter will be used during the application. In additon, he needs to submit his passport and a photo of it and a completed application form along with his passport-size photo.
