In your trends paragraph, you say A large number traveled by themselves. I assume this means they travelled independently. I would like to know how many of the 107 million outbound Chinese travellers travelled independently.I assume you do not mean that they were solo travellers with no companion travellers.

Carol, I am also interested in this. According to what I know, related statistics is usually revealed in Annual Report on China Tourism. It's usually published in September. I read the every year's annual report. However, this year's report hasn't been released yet. So I think that's why TravelChinaGuide said A large nmber instead of giving accurate number. In my opinion, solo travellers should be included in those who travel by themselves because there are tourists who travel abroad alone. Anyway, let's wait for this year's annual report. Hopefully, the statistics you look for will be released in this report.

Numbers still have not been released.  Finding other data points, including shipping not being released...sounds like a hard landing may be in order.
