About:Chinese Embassy in Philippines

philippine passport changing planes in shanghai, do I need a visa

Was wondering if I need a transit permit for my flight via shanghai to Manila I have a 7 hr lay over
When I go back to canada I am bringing my 3 year old son with me He has a Philippine passport does he need a visa?

Chawn, as long as you and your son do not stay over in mainland China for more than 24 hours each time, you don't need the transit permit.
