Mariana, if you don't have a confirmed seat on the flight ticket, I'm afrad you can't take advantage of the free transit policy.

Before you enter the immigration go to the transfer desk of your airline and get your tickets.

Or I can call the airline and ask for our seats assignments, is that correct?

I am a bit confused. What is flight confirmation and seats assignments? If you plan to make use of free transit policy, you should have onward air ticket. If you buy E ticket, then you should have receipt for your E ticket.
