About:Xinyang Travel

I am arriving at Xinyang East Railway Station. How far is Guangshan county?

would taxi take me if it is more than 1 hour drive.

It is 55mi between and the driving may take 70-80min. Honestly, it is not easy to hire a taxi for such a long distance. Although you are lucky to have one, they charge very high. Upon getting to the East Train Station, you can take a taxi to local Long-distance Bus Station at a cost of CNY20-30. Buses to Guangshan County are quite frequently scheduled there from 06:00 to 18:30.

Are there any signs in English at at local long distance bus stations near the East railway Station?

Do we get tickets from bus station. Which bus number goes to Guangshan county.how do we communicate?

I remember only the main signages have English version in the long-distance bus station. As the schedules to Guangshan are quite dense, you can easily get a ticket on the spot. Show this to the staff:我要到光山县.

And the main rail station is different from the east station indeed, 9-10km apart. The distance from either of them to Guangshan County has little difference.
