About:Qingming Bridge

Baby born in Hong Kong with Thai nationality parent can apply for chinese visa in HK?

he is born in Hong Kong in order to enter back to China?. The conditions are:

Baby is to be born in Hong Kong (Hospital already booked the Malted)
Birth certificate issued in Hong Kong
Mother and Father has Thai nationality with working permit in China
Baby's Thai passport will be issued by Thai consulate of Hong Kong after he is born

Hello Conni! In principle, the applicant should have HK residency if he/she applies for mainland entry permit from there. However, as your case is special, I think you can apply from the Office of the Commissioner of PRC Foreign Affairs Ministry. The easier way is to add an endorsement on the parent's passport so that the baby can enter mainland as an accompanying person. When the parent's residence permit expires, the baby should leave together with the parent.

I have just checked more info, they said baby first visa require to go back to home country to apply. Can this be confirm??? Thanks so much!
