About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

UK to Beijing to Hong Kong to UK, will I be able to use the 72 hour visa?

I am flying from the UK to Beijing, I would like to stay 72 hours then fly to Hong Kong and stay around 24 hours before flying back to the UK.
