What time do the metro start in Shanghai??

We need to get to pudong airport by about 6am and wondered if we could take the metro?

Well, different subway lines have different hours, but most of them start service from 05:00 – 05:30 am. The first train to the airport on subway line 2 departs at 05:30 from Xujingdong and 06:00 from Guanglan Road.
