Beijing for under 72 hours before going to HongKong - visa needed?

Hi all,

I'm travelling to Hong Kong but have a layover of 37 hours in Beijing. Does anyone know if I need a specific entry permit for this small part of the journey?

Thanks,
Vicky

Vicky, if you are travelling from the UK to Hong Kong via Beijing by air, then you can enjoy the 72-hour free transit policy so that the transit permit is not required.
