About:Passport

My husband's passport expires Jan 26, 2016, will he be permitted to board the aircraft?

Hello, the family is travelling to Philippines from Canada (my husband and I are Canadian Residents, our baby is a Canadian Citizen) and our flight has 4 hours lay over in Beijing. Unfortunately, my husband's Philippine passport has less than 6 months validity left in it. Will we have trouble boarding Air China aircraft, or any trouble in Beijing with his passport only having less than 3 months validity? Our flight will be on November and will stay in the Philippines for 4 weeks. We have already purchased our tickets when we noticed the validity of his passport. What to do? Please help. Thank you.

Leah, Filipinos enjoy 24 hours free transit in Beijing so that your husband doesn't need to apply any visa in advance. I think he can board the plane. However, you'd better contact your airline to confirm this. They finally decide whether your husband is allowed to board or not.

Thank you Linda! Greatly appreciated your reply. I have been calling them but unfortunately they have a busy line. But my calls won't stop there, I will continue to do so until I get my answer. It's a good thing to know we have free transit there.
