About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

When can i start applying my Visa to china if it is for travelling purpose?

Can it be 2 or 3 months before it? If the passport owner is not available, can others help the person to apply?

What are the things i should prepare for Application? How long it takes to get it done?

Teo, you can apply three months earlier than your scheduled leaving date. However, Chinese embassy suggests that the applicants should apply one month ahead of their actual trip. If you can't submit your documents, you can entrust someone else to do it. It takes four working days to deal with your application.

To apply for a tourist type, you should provide your passport, filled application form affixed with a passport photo, round-trip air tickets and hotel booking. Sometimes, you might be required to provide financial proofs, recent six months bank statement, for example.
