Ejinaqi bus from Jiayuguan, how much is the bus and how long it take?

I read some website and found that bus from Jiayuguan to Ejinaqi is forbidden for foreigners , because the bus the military area and satellite launch area. Is it true?

Jiayuguan is near Jiuquan, from Jiuquan, there are buses to Ejinaqi. The bus fare is about CNY87, and the travel time is about 5 – 6 hours. Well, you are right. The bus route travel through the military control area and jiuquan, the satellite launch area. Therefore, foreigners cannot take that.

Also, there is no direct train or flight between the two places. And you need to make a transfer in Xian, which will be a detour. If possible, you can go to Ejinaqi from other city, like Beijing or Hohhot.

So the shortest route to Ejinaqi should be from Zhangye - Alashan Youqi - Ejinaqi, isn't it?

No, the mentioned route is a detour.
Actually, I heard the overseas passengers can now take the bus from Jiuquan to Ejinaqi. But they need to apply for a pass in advance from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre with passport and China visa, etc. But I'm not quite sure. You may further confirm upon arrival. If it is the case, you can take the bus to Ejinaqi directly and it will be much more convenient.

I wish to take Jiuquan - Ejinaqi bus if they allow. But do not know how to get the permit.

Bring your passport, china visa and money. Staff there will then handle it for the rest. No worry.
