how long does it take to process a tourist visa for australia in china

my gf wants to travel to Australia to see me, how long does it take to process her tourist entry permit for Australia?

hello thank you for that information. but my gf told me her being a business woman in china that it can take u to 4 to 5mts. that's what the government over there have told her to process for Australia. and one of her friends waited 12mts. can you tell me why there be any reason to process in china for Australia? and she told me the application form they go though all her assets and bank accounts etc. what's the reason for that would you at all?
