I have a couple of packages that need to be sent from Guangdong china to melbourne australia first one is 65cm L x 32.5cm W x 25cm H and weight is 3kg and the other is 40cm x 30cm x 25cm weights 2kg  and 2 freight bags 1kg each . how much should i be paying to have them sent, what is the most cost effective

Tim, the total cost is at least CNY 785 if you send airmail packages. If there is anything very important or valuable, you'd better use EMS or any other international courier, DHL for example. They are expensive but much safer.
