About:Hong Kong - Zhongshan Ferry

HKIA to Zhongshan

Hi, my flight is scheduled to arrive at 11.10am. Do I have enough time to catch the 11.40am ferry to Zhongshan?

I’m afraid you cannot catch that ferry, for 30 mins is really too tight for the transfer. If you miss the ferry at 11:40, the next would be at 15:50. You need to wait for a long time.

Therefore, I suggest you take a direct bus instead. The bus schedule is very dense, and you can catch one upon arrival. The bus fare is HKD250, and the travel time is about 3 hours.

Thanks Alan. Where can I take the direct bus to Zhong Shan? Also, I will be travelling back to HKIA via Zhuhai on Thursday, which is a public holiday for China. Do I need to purchase the ferry ticket in advance? I plan to take the first ferry because my flight is at 13.15pm.

You can take the bus from Ground Transportation Center. Don’t worry, upon arrival, you will find signs in English showing the direction to take the bus.

Yes, it is a public holiday, and there may be a lot of people traveling around, so if possible you’d better book the ferry tickets in advance.
