Transportation on weekend to Jinshanling

I heard the tourist bus will stop running if there are less than 20 passengers.
In the case, I recommend you to go to Dongzhimen first, if you can find the tourist bus, jut take it to the scenic area directly. If not, you can take a public bus 980 Kuai (not 980) to the final destination, Miyun Coach Station; then take a private minivan (about CNY 30 per person) to the scenic area. This is the most time-saving way.

2.i got directions to take the bus "Wangjing West - Luanping". Do you know this bus?

1. 980 Kuai is in the same area (Dongzhimen) with the tourist bus, but not the same departure point. Dongzhimen is a big transportation hub including subway, city buses and intercity buses. But it won't take too long to walk around to find the buses.
2. Yes, I've heard about the line. I recommended Dongzhimen as it has more choices. If you like, you can also take the line to Jinshanling Service Station, then change to the scenic shuttle to reach the Wall. The shuttle departs for the Wall at 10:00, 11:00 and 13:00 and returns at 13:30 and 15:00.
Sorry I'm not clear about the last schedule of this line back to BJ. You may consult the driver on the way there.
3. I know the last 980 kuai returns from Miyun Coach Station at 18:30.

I've read on TripAdvisor that the weekend tourist bus from Dongzhimen 8a.m. is not operational anymore. Is this correct?? I've been searching for hours online and I cannot find accurate information. Thanks a lot for any help. Bye Elles

Yes, the tourist bus from Dongzhimen has stopped service. Now a tourist bus operates daily from Wangjingxi bus stop, which is right next to the exit C of Wangjingxi metro station. If you take line 13, leave from exit B and walk eastwards for 100m to find the bus. It leaves at 08:00 in the morning and gets back at 15:00.
