About:Chinese Temporary Residence Permit

resident permit single entry

I have a residence permit for 12 months valid until May 16, it is single entry - I am in hong Kong on holiday do I need another visa to return to my province on the main land

Hi, Carolann! Are you sure it's a residence permit? I don't think the residence permit is only for one entry. Generally speaking, it can be used as a multi-entry permit. You can exit and enter freely with it. So if you are sure what you have is the residence permit, of course you can return to mainland without another entry permit.

Hello Grace thank you for your prompt reply, its a residence permit for a foreigner in the peoples republic of China valid until June 2016.

So you don't need to get another entry permit for reentering.
