About:China Customs Declaration

Can I take biltong (South-african dried meat) to China

Hi I'm leaving to Beijing on Monday for 10 months and have 2 bags of vacuum sealed biltong, basically its dried beef strips, can I take it along?

Sorry, I'm afraid no. Meat is not allowed to be taken into China.
