can tickets for the summer palace be purchased at both the north & east palace gate?

I will be catching the subway to there.  Can tickets be purchased at both the North Palace Gate (near Beigongmen Subway Station) and at East Palace Gate (near Xiyuan Subway Station)?  It seems the North Palace Gate is a shorter walk from the subway station than East Palace Gate?

Yes, the tickets can be purchased in both of the gates, and you should take the subway line 4 to Beigongmen Station, which is much nearer than Xiyuan Station. Take the Exit A1 and walk about 430 yards, you will reach the park.
