About bagggage and customs

I am arriving from the U.S. in Beijing with a connecting flight to NanNing China. Do I have to get my checked bag and then get it back to the airline? My layover time is 1 hour and 50 minutes. Will that be enough time or should I consider trying to get a latter flight out of Beijing?

Jim, if it is the connecting airticket, then your luggage should be automatically transported to your next destination Nanning. If you fly with two different airlines, then it depends on whether these two airlines have any agreement on luggage transport. But I still suggest that you contact your airline to confirm this.
