China visa photo

Im told by local photo shop I must go to embassy to have photos taken for visa for China (tourist)
I need to apply fast but unable to source accurate advice

I don't think you have to take photos at the embassy. You can prepare a photo and attach it onto the application form beforing heading to the CVASC branch.
