wulong to gongtan gucheng

Hi!My flight arrival time to Chongqing airport  is 10.25 am. Would it be possible to get a train which departs at 12.30 to Gongtan gucheng?If not, how to go to Gongtan gucheng from Wulong?I would like to take time at Tianshengsanqiao. Where would I stay overnight, in Wulong or in Tianshengsanqiao?Thank you!

Time is enough to catch the 12:30 train, but ensure that you have booked the tickets in advance. You should take the train to Youxiang first. Then hire a car to Gongtan Ancient Town. If you prefer to transfer at Wulong, take a taxi or subway line 3 to North Rail Station and walk to the nearby Longtousi Bus Station to take a bus to Wulong. Take a visit there and stay there for overnight. To Gongtan, you need to transfer at Pengshui.

To add to the previous answer:  last week I went from Gongtan to CQ City via Pengshui. The bus to pengshui dropped us in a random street, not close to any busstation. If this is also the place where the bus leaves it will be hard to find if you do not speak chinese. though i am not sure about this.I got to Gongtan via xiyang, youyang's.county town, buses depart from the north station. Thouh easy it is a significant detour from CQ. I came from Hunan.
