You can take direct long-distance bus at West Bus Station. The schedules are 07:15 and 16:20.
The ticket fare is CNY 200 to 220 per person. Duration is about 8 hours.

BTW, there are both ordinary and bullet trains beteen the two cities They are safer and more comfortable.
