Hi,can i go on an F type visa to China to see a friend?

Lucia, you can that. But according to the regulations, you should apply for a L type. F type is issued to those who engage in non-commercial activities in PRC, such as academic exchange. So if the officers ask what you are going to do, you shouldn't say that you go there to visit your friend.0
