About:Chinese Embassy in Mauritius

what kind of visa should a citizen of Mauritius apply if i want a business trip in China?

I am a citizen of Mauritius, our company import goods, What type should I apply? and what documents should I submit with the application ?

You should apply for a M type. Apart from your passport, filled application form and a recent six months passport photo, you should provide an invitation letter from any Chinese company.

what will happen if I go for the business trip with the tourist type?

A.C, L type is for those who travel in PRC. M type is for those who plan to have business trip. Those who enter with inappropriate entry permits might not be allowed to enter if the immigration finds out. If they were caught by local police, then face punishment too. So I suggest you apply for the M type instead of L type, to play it safe.
