About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Hi, I fly from USA to Guangzhou to vietnam.

Hi I fly from USA to Guangzhou , spend 1 day in Guangzhou, then I take a train to HongKong for 1 day, back to Guangzhou for 1 more day, then fly to vietnam, do I qualify for the 72 hour free transit?

No you don´t.
But you qualify for the 24h free transit policy both times.
You can´t leave Guangdong province if you wanna use 72h twov.
And if you go to Hong Kong, you leave China.
You qualify for it when you fly USA - Gungzhou - Vietnam.
