About:Chinese Embassy in France

Attestation of residence

Hi, American citizen currently living in France. I lived in Hong Kong from 2008 until December 2014, when I moved to Paris. In order to exchange my driver's license, I need an "attestation of residence," and the people at the prefecture told me to go to the Embassy. Is this document issued? If so, how do I go about getting one?

Best regards,

Anna, you can provide a valid certificate which has your name and address in Hong Kong on it. The certificate can be a credit card bill, a document issude by the government, or your receipt for paying the property management fee and house rent.
