About:Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka

What kind of documents do I need to bring for a Tourist Visa - Single Entry?

1. I'm from The Netherlands and I'm going to make a trip through Asia for 4-5 months. After my visit to Sri Lanka, I would like to visit China.

I'm going to book a trip from Bejing to Hongkong with a travel organisation. And before I want to go to Shanghai by myself.

2. How much time do I have to stay in Colombo before I get my application done? 4 days?

Hey, you will go to Shanghai first, then to Beijing, and then to Hong Kong, right? If so, you only need a single entry as Hong Kong grants free entry for Holland passport holders. To apply for the single-entry permit, you need to provide your passport, a photocopy of the passport's photo page, a completely filled application form with your recent passport-style photo, in-and-out tickets, and hotel reservations.

The process takes four working days so you need to wait for four days or so.

Thank you for your answer. Just one question left:
The travel organisation I'm going with is probably going from Guangzhou to Hongkong by boat. So I don't actually have a (plain) ticket out of China, but a boat ticket. Will this (the schedule of travel organisation) suffice?

The boat ticket from Guangzhou to Hong Kong along with the schedule provided by the travel organization suffice for the application.
