About:China Visa Application Requirements

Visit my husband.

Hello, I am from the Philippines and my husband is a Chinese national. I would like to know what documents do u need to provide and what visa I should apply for. Thank you.

Joanna, if you want to live with your husband for a long time in China, you should apply for a Q type. If you just plan to visit him for a short term, then an L type will be fine.

Documents needed for both types: your passport, a photocopy of the passport's data page, a filled application form, a bare-headed color photo against light background, and your bank statement of the latest six months.

Supportive documents for Q tpe: the original and photocopy of your marriage book, an invitation letter from your husband and a photocopy of his ID card.

Supportive documents for L type: an invitation from your husband.
