About:China Transit Visa

VISA FOR GETTING OUT OF AIRPORT

I am travelling from auckland to new delhi through china eastern airlines and have a stopover of 14 hours at Shanghai and i am thinking of going out of airport for few hours. Do i need visitor type or transit type entry permit?

Actually, you don't need the visa because you can avail yourself of the 72-hour direct transit facility. You can go out od the airport during the transit.
