beijing vs kunming which is better?

I intend to travel in Nov with my family member(2 elderly) for about 8 to 10 days to china by ourselves.We love to visit some famous spot, historical building, buddhist temples etc .I know Beijing tourist spot is Great wall/heaven temple etc. But no idea of Kunming.Beijing has MRT but I am not sure whether Kunming transport.

Actually, these two cities are both worth to visit. Beijing has more cultural sites while Kunming has more natural scenery. For Beijing, beside Great Wall and Heaven Temple, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Hutongs, Silk Street and Wangfujing Street are also highly recommended.For Kunming, there are many popular scenic spots, including Yunnan Stone Forest, Dianchi Lake, Western Hills and Golden Temple. You can fully appreciate the beautiful natural scenery. About the transportation, Subway line 1, line 2 and line 6 have been in service. Actually, 8-10 days are enough for both of the places.
