Copy of a Monet painting

My girlfriend is into arts and as a gift I bought her a copy of a monet painting, frame and all. Can I check this is as luggage (although I know it is not recommended) and will I have to declare this plus will I be charged for bringing a painting into China?

Alex, as long as it is a copy, you shouldn't have any problem after you declare it at the customs.
