I read on the embassy's website that applicants need to additionally provide a letter from the local travel agency or other travel organizer, an "Invitation Letter for Tourist” from Chinese Tourist Bureau, and a financial standing proof. As you are from other countries, I'm not sure whether this applies to you. You had better confirm this with the consular officer before heading to the office.
